This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your data when you use the Leaderboard Rx mobile application, website (leaderboardrx.com), and related services.

Leaderboard Rx LLC helps users find lower-cost pharmacies for their prescriptions, view transparent cash/discount pricing, and manage prescription transfers.

Optional Personal Information & Security Notice
Providing personal profile information such as gender, date of birth, and addresses during account setup is entirely optional. This information is stored securely with end-to-end safeguards and is used solely to assist with pharmacy prescription transfers and to make pharmacy search results more relevant (addresses only).
We do not collect Google Advertising IDs (GAID/AD_ID) and do not sell or broker your personal health information to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
3How We Use Your Information
- Deliver real-time, ranked pharmacy price comparisons.
- Facilitate user-directed prescription transfers between pharmacies with step-by-step confirmation, utilizing optional profile details (such as DOB, gender, and address) when provided.
- Improve relevance of nearby pharmacy search results (using user-provided address).
- Provide refill reminders, transfer status notifications, and optional geofenced pharmacy alerts.
- Calculate rewards and savings summaries (“Pharma’s Perks”).
- Diagnose technical issues and crashes via Firebase Crashlytics. Crash reports and diagnostic telemetry contain no Protected Health Information (PHI) or medication names.
4Background Location
If you enable geofenced pharmacy alerts, the App may access your location in the background (even when the App is closed or not in active use) to notify you when you are near a pharmacy offering lower prescription prices.
- Opt-in only: Background location is disabled by default and requires explicit user consent via an in-app disclosure followed by OS permission approval.
- Revocation: You may revoke background location permissions at any time via your device’s System Settings (
Settings > Apps > Leaderboard Rx > Permissions > Location).
5Information Sharing & Third Parties
We share data only as necessary to provide our core services:
- Discount Card Networks & Pharmacy Partners: Pricing queries and coupon claims are shared with partnered discount networks (e.g., RxGo, National Drug Card, Team Cuban Card, LowerMyRx) to retrieve and honor active coupon pricing.
- Service Providers: Infrastructure and cloud service providers (Firebase/Google Cloud Platform, database hosting) subject to strict contractual confidentiality and HIPAA Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) where applicable.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
- No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal or health data.
6Data Retention, Security & Account Deletion
Local data stored on mobile devices is encrypted at rest using SQLCipher (AES-256) with keys secured via Android Keystore / iOS Keychain. Network traffic is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS 1.2+.
Active account details and prescription history are retained while your account is active. Anonymized diagnostic logs in Firebase Crashlytics are kept up to 90 days.
Delete your account and cloud data instantly in-app via Settings > Account > Delete Account or email privacy@leaderboardrx.com.
7Your Privacy Rights & Choices
- Access & Portability: You can view, export, or edit your saved medications and profile data in-app or request a machine-readable export by contacting privacy@leaderboardrx.com.
- Permissions Management: You can enable or disable location services and notifications at any time through in-app settings or device settings.
- Communication Preferences: You can toggle refill reminders and promotional notifications within
Settings > Notifications.
8Children’s Privacy
Leaderboard Rx is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or 16 in certain jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child’s data has been collected without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete it.
9Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or email prior to the change taking effect, updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
